The style could be described as the lovechild produced in the midst of an cocaine orgy of <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Rocky Horror Show<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (1975), <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">E.T<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. (1982), and <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hairspray<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (1988). Remarkable amusement is brought on stage by Jim Carrey\u2019s interpretation of the third visitor from space, accompanied by Jeff Goldblum and Damon Wayans. The fast-paced plot, growing into an interspecies romance, camouflages a hint of Dantean picket fence aesthetics, and more than a bit of chaotic speeding anarchy of Mack Sennet\u2019s.
