We are pleased to welcome you to partcipate in the discuss of the possibilities of film education in educational and teaching work! Our matinee Classic films for the next generation: Perspectives on film education is aimed for educators, film programmers, filmmakers and venue managers.
We also invite you to take part as an audience to watch and be amazed by the children’s silent film workshop as part of film educational programme. We also include the opportunity to participate in the planning of educational and inclusive film clubs for the elderly people and immigrants. These film clubs are part of the Midnight Sun Film Festival project where the film clubs are developed during the following autumn.
The matinee and foley workshop is a part of the Midnight Sun Film Festival’s Lapin lasten elokuvakasvatus (Film Education for Children Living in Lapland) and the AFFN projects, which are funded by Arts Promotion Centre Finland and the European Union. Kulttuuripalvelukonsepti Muisti (Cultural Education Project Memory) in 2025 with the support of the Finnish Cultural Foundation. The matinee screening, the children’s workshop and the ”Film clubs Memory and Finland” workshop are supported and sponsored by Genelec.
