Festival Info serves the public and invited guests at Kitisenranta School during the festival:
- Wed–Sat: 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM
- Sun: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Entrance is to the left of the ticket booths, under the school clock. Accessible entrance: Call the phone number posted on the door.

Pub tent – The Cure for Festival Hunger and Thirst
The legendary Festival Pub Tent at the Sodankylä Film Festival is the place where the atmosphere of the films continues late into the night, accompanied by good company, delicious food, and refreshing drinks. Here, you’ll meet both old festival friends and new acquaintances in the unique spirit of Sodankylä.
The Pub Tent is located in the courtyard of Kitisenranta School, right next to the Big Tent. A variety of tasty festival dishes are available for every palate: loaded potatoes, juicy burgers, smoked salmon with potato salad, warming Lapland-style salmon soup, and crispy zucchini and cauliflower fritters. In addition, a mobile coffee cart circulating around the area ensures that energy levels and the festival mood remain high from morning until night.
This year, the delicious offerings at the Pub Tent are provided by Polar Catering from Rovaniemi, a company with extensive experience in restaurant services for major events and festivals. In addition to the Pub Tent, Polar Catering is responsible for staff catering during the film festival as well as catering for festival guest events.
The Pub Tent serves
- from Wednesday to Saturday from 9:00 AM to 2:00 AM
- on Sunday from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM
Festival Shop – The Festival Visitor’s One-Stop Store
The festival’s own shop, located inside Kitisenranta School, offers official merchandise such as T-shirts, tote bags, and caps. The selection is complemented by Rosebud Bookstore, featuring a quality range of books, DVD films, as well as stationery and writing supplies.

Festival Oasis (Kitisen Keidas) – The Hub of Festival Side Events
Festival Oasis tent is the cozy living room of the film festival and the venue for its side-programme events. Here you can attend engaging discussions on current topics, watch Yle’s Best of Sodankylä short films, participate in movie quizzes hosted by Paavo Ihalainen, and join post-screening discussions for selected films.
Younger audiences are welcome to attend children’s screenings and workshops designed for children and young people. The wine bar serves visitors from Wednesday to Saturday starting at 2:00 PM.

Festival Club – The After-Hours Venue for Festival Nights
The legendary afterparty club returns to Hotel Sodankylä, inviting festival-goers from the darkness of the cinema halls into the magical circle of charismatic live performers. Before and after the live shows, audiences can enjoy captivating DJ music. Read more here.
