SMALL TENT PROGRAMME

Children’s films, festival clubs, live music, speech karaoke, midnight sun dancing and other interesting events!

Tickets to the children’s screenings are sold in front of the Small Tent half an hour before the screening starts. Tickets to the Kesätaika Concerts are sold at the ticket sales points at the school. Other Small Tent events are free of charge.

The Latvian, Lithuanian and – especially – Estonian children’s animated shorts from yesteryear stretch the limits of imagination and overcome old powers that be with joy.

10 am Children’s screening: 100 Years of Disney: The Love Bug & Sapte Arte (tickets 4 €, in English with Finnish subtitles)

Disney the company turns hundred years old in October, so it’s time to bring the dream factory’s most beloved non-animated work out from the garage! The birthday party will begin with a screening of Sapte Arte, a short film from Romanian animation master Ion Popescu-Gopon (1922–89), another centenarian.

2 pm Finnish Filmmakers in Conversation (discussion in Finnish) – free entrance
